More Fun With Fiber

I love fiber! I have been an advocate of high-fiber diets for years. It was a diet high in fiber that helped me lose 40 pounds in 6 months. In my opinion, fiber is a miracle food, one of the key ingredients to fast and sustained weight loss.

Here is a typical day of eating fiber for me:

Fiber is a serious part of my everyday life. But I have also had a lot of fun with fiber, as you can see in this video:

Making people laugh (or at least attempting to) is as much a passion of mine as healthy living and personal development. By using humor to poke fun at serious topics, my goal is to widen my potential audience, thus reaching more people with my overall message, which is always:

LIVE LIFE EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY

So, with hopes to make you laugh and think, I produced this goofy video:

"Talkin' Fiber" with Bernie Squirts

Eat healthy, laugh daily, work hard, and keep living life 365.

Until next time...

peace,

Mike

i love fiber too :) vegetables and fruits are something i can not live without, however, coming from a rice country, i would have to add rice, though it is not really fibrous, but i have my fruits and vegetables :)

First "Bad Mike" now "Bernie Squirts", LOLs! Great acting Mike! I think it would be great if you added more characters to livelife365! Oatmeal everyday, whole grain bread, Fiber One Cereal and Metamucil everyday for me, hurray fiber!

Mike oh Mike you little squirt you! I was sitting here eating my baked oatmeal casserole (email me for this recipe - you'll love it) and I was laughing so hard I nearly choked! Not at you, with you! My high fiber diet (no option for me) is, welllll, let's just say I sometimes long for the quiet days of constipation!

Mmm fiber. Just from eating plenty of real food I end up consuming almost too much fiber on a regular basis!

barb: yes, very gassy...

cascia: a good laugh is as important as a healthy diet

suzen: fiber does have its benefits and challenges...but overall it is great...

sagan: is there such a thing as too much fiber?

I love fibre too! Linseeds (flax) and chia seeds are pretty good sources too......although I think if I had a partner who sounded like that 2nd video I'd be throwing more than pillows at his head :P

Hi Mike-
I love your blog- You are a hoot! I've been tweeting about it with each new post ( http://twitter.com/robin_usanamom ). Great ideas about increasing fiber- Love the almonds, myself...
LMAO at the musical toots- try Beano- it helps :~))

I like all the foods you suggest, plus quinoa, but I have a secret- I LOVE chocolate!! Unfortunately, it doesn't always love me... I found a solution- Usana's chocolate fusion bar- it helps my chocolate craving but with 12 g protein, 3 g fiber, and it is very low-glycemic, too. Delicious!

If you want to see more information, you can at http://products.usana.com/bin/en_us_nutritionbars.pdf

The oatmeal bar is also good- 10 g protein and 3 g fiber.

Full disclosure: I am a Usana associate. :~0 Still, we are on the same page as to educating and spreading better health to as many people as we can.

Robin

PS- Laughter is good medicine, too!

Oh mike!!! I am just LOVING these new developments. They totally confirm what I just wrote in response to your comment on my site. You can go read what I wrote. I'm telling you I CAN SEE IT COMING!!! I laughed my way through all three of these videos. You are really onto something. And I feel it allows you to be even more of we YOU are.

I have to tell you honestly that I LOVE laughter. I too have wanted to move into more humor. It just feels like much of the health or self-improvement movement or even new-age spiritual movement get so "heady" and serious and often leaves out all the FUN. I have to watch this myself on my site. Because to be serious ALL the time is not me; I find it draining. It's not healthy or even real. Adults need to have healthy fun. And you have done just that here. You are a wonderful example for me. I too am in my fifties. I thought you were AT LEAST ten to 15 years younger than me. LOL!!!!

I am so glad you did these videos and the weightlifting one cracked me up and also truly inspired me to get out my weights again. You are brilliant. I am so jacked up from your posts and videos. Thank you SOOOO much!! Hugs, Robin. Loved your wife's comment in the video. I lost it then. LOLOL!!! :))

PS Will Tweet!
